SESL Challenge Information

We're challenging you to think outside the box, dream big, and take action to make a difference. What's the big issue in your backyard, in your community, in your world? Do you have an entrepreneurial idea of how to solve it?

Currently only in the USA in New Hampshire, the Social Entrepreneurial Student Leadership (SESL) Challenge is an exciting, 10-week experiential learning competition in which high school and college teams (in separate contests) design, research, and present an innovative, realistic solution to a team-identified “community” challenge, one that is personally meaningful to team members. Putting your ideas into the SESL curriculum's modified business plan format, teams present their solution(s) to a panel of statewide judges at the regional finals in April and, for those teams that move on, at the statewide finals in May.

SESL seeks to foster social capital, build community, and create ties between high school and college students and their local and global communities through an exciting, ten-week challenge competition that begins in February each year.
